Athletics

Target: Tue 5 Jan 2027 to Mon 25 Jan 2027

Athletics is planned for weeks 6 to 8 after launch, alongside combat sports.

In South Africa

South Africa produces world-class sprinters and distance runners, and road races like the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon are national events. Fans also follow the Diamond League and the World Athletics Championships.

How Puntr will cover it

Athletics is about individual performances, so Puntr's engine will look at season-best times, recent results and championship form. Picks lock before the start and are graded from official results.

When it goes live

Athletics is planned for week 6 to 8 after launch (Puntr launches on Tue 1 Dec 2026). A sport only switches on once its fixture data and automatic grading are working, so the date can move. The roadmap always shows the current status.
