Horse racing is planned for week 4 after launch. It needs its own data model, because a race has many runners rather than two teams.

South Africa has a long racing tradition, with meetings at Turffontein, Kenilworth, Greyville and Scottsville, and big days like the Durban July and the Cape Town Met drawing national attention.

How Puntr will cover it

Racing works differently from team sports, so Puntr is building a separate model for race cards, runners, jockeys and official results. The Algorithmic Read will consider recent form, draw, distance and going, and picks will be graded from official race results.

When it goes live

Horse racing is planned for week 4 after launch (Puntr launches on Tue 1 Dec 2026). A sport only switches on once its fixture data and automatic grading are working, so the date can move. The roadmap always shows the current status.
